INFRA-SURVEIL™ Company was founded in 1978 in the south of France and specialized in the roofing leak detections and in the research of possible hidden defects in residential and industrial buildings via infrared thermography .Our first experimental IR leak detection took part at the hippodrome Cote-d'azur in 1982.At the time detecting water leaks via infrared seemed rediculous.Detecting hidden defaults in buildings using IR technology was also the results of more than 25 years of research in the field .Our first website on this matter:
www.scannez-avant-dacheter.com has inspired scores of thousands of new home inspectors across the world & created jobs .
Thanks to our decades of experience with both thermographic principles and structural engineering practice in the building envelope we are able to discern, interpret and deliver highly accurate data on possible hidden defaults invisible to the naked eye or concealed behind renovation. Also recommanding remedies because we are SPECIALISTS
Our reliable reports better inform buyers about a prospective real estate purchase; and our competent, specific and thorough reports serve as a powerful bargaining tool before a potential deal is struck with the seller.
What are the elements of the pre-sale diagnostic report?
1) Gathering information about a structure
2) Observing images of differential patterns
of infrared radiation
3) Recording and presenting information with
a technical report and images on
default's structure and possible future problems
such as: heat loss, condensation, roof
leaks, added structures,lack of sufficient
aeration, cracks in walls or soil, humid walls
or lack of peripheral draining around foundation.
Many of these defects are highly expensive to remedy.
For instance hidden cracks may indicate the movement of a soil, which can cause a home or a building to shift apart gradually . The lack of drainage may cause the inondation of a basement; chronic roof leaks can turn to be expensive to detect and repair. Humidity in walls play a destructive role by increasing their permeability ;amplifying their degradation; easing bacteria growth and poor indoor environment; causing allergy, rheumatism, and respiratory problems. These are examples justifying the need for an infrared home inspection prior to a transaction.
